George Fasham

 

 

George Frederick Fasham, born in 1888 was
the 7th of 9 children born to
Thomas Fasham & Catherine Winnett.
George spent his early years growing up in the
Gippsland area where his first job as a 14 year old
was driving a bullock team. George also spent his
later childhood in Bendigo.

In 1911 George married Emily Elizabeth Tong
and were to have four children:
Norman, Muriel, Keith & Betty.

George worked for many years as Foreman at
Miller's Timber and Trading Company.

In 1988 George Fasham celebrated his 100th
birthday with his two daughters, nine grandchildren
and 20 great grandchildren.

George recieved telegrams of congratulations
from the Queen, Prime Minister Mr Hawke, and
Victorian Premier, Mr Cain.
